Since 2000, UMKC’s Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship has supported students in pursuing research projects with a faculty mentor, helping contribute to our university as a research institution. Students can take research-infused courses through EUReka!, use their work-study award as an Undergraduate Research Associate, apply for grant funding for their projects through the SEARCH (Students Engaged in the Arts and Research) or SUROP (Summer Undergraduate Research Opportunity) programs, present at a UMKC symposium, and be recognized as an Undergraduate Research Fellow on their transcript and at commencement. Contact Alicen Lundberg, Assistant Director, with questions.
