Digital Projects

The Digital Projects department digitizes, describes, and digitally preserves UMKC Libraries’ special collections and university archives, and provides digital access to sound archives. We maintain thousands of digital objects in our repository, and with the help our Systems & Technology department, we construct digital exhibits with UMKC faculty, students, and donors. We are engaged in updating our digital records with an eye toward ensuring that they are more inclusive, more diverse, and more contextual, and we consider these activities to be a pillar of our service philosophy. Additionally, we are open to partnerships with our Kansas City community, and beyond. If you’d like to discuss our work or partner with us, please contact us.
