The Recording Studio is part of the Digital Collaboration Studio – a collaborative effort between the UMKC Libraries and the Digital and Public Humanities initiative at UMKC. The space was created to support the use of digital primary source materials and artifacts for teaching, learning, and scholarship.

Recording Studio Capabilities

The Recording Studio includes a motorized video camera and an array of microphones to capture audio and video recordings, such as interviews for podcasts. It features an easy-to-use touch screen for quick and easy recording. Learn about the technologies available in the Recording Studio on the Digital Collaboration Studio webpage.

Reserve the Recording Studio for up to two hours in our online reservation system, using your UMKC username and password. The Recording Studio is open and available for anyone to use when it is not reserved.

The Recording Studio is located next to a Production Room, which offers audio and video editing software to facilitate more complex media projects. The Production Room is only available for use by individuals affiliated with the UMKC Digital and Public Humanities initiative. Contact dph@umkc.edu with inquiries.
