Season's Greetings from the Libraries

Beauty and joy can spring from adversity, and this past year has provided enough adversity for everyone, some far more than others. As we continue to live and work through the COVID-19 global pandemic, racial injustices, and the personal challenges caused by those circumstances, the UMKC Libraries community is building on our experience in coming together across physical divides, and finding creative new ways to work together. Join us in closing the year by reflecting on what we have learned about how we can support our communities and keep doing better for each other.

As a way of recognizing the threads that knit us together, we have library employees to thank for the artwork featured in this winter greetings message. Thank you all for your dedication to keeping our UMKC community close and beautiful.

Wishing you health and happiness in 2021,

Interim Dean Cindy Thompson
