Celebrating Student Success for Spring 2020


The UMKC Libraries celebrates and honors students who have worked in the library on their success this semester. Congratulations!!

 


Alexander Aloisio thumbnailAlexander Aloisio works as a student monitor in the Circulation Department at Miller Nichols Library. He is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. He is planning on attending the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, in January 2021. He is interested in musical performance, audio engineering, and composing/producing music as a career.

 

 


Casey Dewey thumbnailCasey Dewey works as a senior student assistant in the Cataloging & Metadata Management Department at Miller Nichols Library. He is graduating with a Master of Arts in Film/Media Arts. His future goals include film/television editing, film-festival programming and creating a podcast network exploring cinema soundtracks.

 

 

 


Aleia Gonzalez thumbnailAleia Gonzalez is a student assistant in the Music/Media Library and is graduating with her Master’s in Guitar Performance. She’s staying in the Kansas City area for one more year to teach guitar and continue performing in different venues. “Working at the library has been great and so much fun! Everyone is super friendly and helpful, and I’m grateful for that. Also, thanks to the library my research knowledge grew considerably and I’m planning to make a good use of it in the future!”

 


Anusha Jasti thumbnailAnusha Jasti is a student monitor in the Circulation Department at Miller Nicols Library. She is graduating with a Masters in Computer Science, and one of her future goals is to become the leader of a team. "The best thing about working at the library is the people over there. They all make me feel like I'm at home. I enjoyed each and every day of my work. It helped me to grow in all the aspects and mainly improve my managing skills. I would surely be missing this place."
