Now Open! Digital Collaboration Studio
The UMKC University Libraries, in partnership with the UMKC Digital and Public Humanities initiative, are delighted to introduce a new space for study, teaching, and learning.
Located on the third floor of Miller Nichols Library, the Digital Collaboration Studio includes an open area with mobile furniture and high-definition monitors, seminar room with video conferencing capability and digital whiteboard and small collaboration rooms with high-definition monitors. The seminar and collaboration rooms can be reserved online.
The Studio is designed to support research and education in all disciplines with a focus on the Digital and Public Humanities. It particularly supports the use of digital primary source materials and artifacts for teaching, learning, and scholarship.
Future additions to the technology in the Studio will include an audio and video recording studio for oral histories and podcasts and a production room for digital editing and imaging.
Come check it out!
The Digital Collaboration Studio is open for anyone to use for work, study, meeting, or collaboration when the library building is open. See library hours. Share screens for a group project, utilize a digital whiteboard, or reserve a room with a camera for online group meetings.
