New Access to News Databases and KC Star

UMKC Libraries have added subscription access to three databases.

Access World News Research Collection

Includes the Kansas City Star, 1991 to today! Research diverse perspectives, topics and trends that align with curricular areas such as Political Science, English, Sociology, Humanities, Business, International Studies and more. Features reliable, credible information from a wide variety of international, national, and local news sources.

Within the Access World News database, navigate to the A-Z Source List to search for the Kansas City Star collections.

The Star is available from 1991 to today in text format, from 2013 to today as color full-page images, plus blogs from 2005 to today and some recent video and video transcripts. The library continues to maintain our microfilm collection of the Kansas City Star, reaching back to 1885.
