Celebrating the new Digital Collaboration Studio & SHSMO
The UMKC Libraries are hosting an open house event to celebrate the opening of our new and renovated spaces on the third floor of Miller Nichols Library on November 17 from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
The Libraries are partnering with the State Historical Society of Missouri, the Geosciences Museum, and faculty from the Digital and Public Humanities initiative on behalf of the Digital Collaboration Studio to welcome visitors to explore each newly opened space, plus LaBudde Special Collections, University Archives, and Marr Sound Archives.
Join us to visit each of these special research and creation spaces, where our students and researchers can examine unique primary source material and specimens, delve into historic collections and archives, and leverage technology to create innovative scholarly and creative works. Guides will introduce you to each area where you can explore and view a sampling of each specialized collection, learning more about what makes each department remarkable.
