To align with the needs of our students studying Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Pharmacy, the UMKC Health Sciences Library space is now open all night, every night.
Visit the Health Sciences Library any time around the clock to use a computer, printer, or scanner, to log in to a library resource on the campus network for research, diagnosis, or clinical use, or to take advantage of a safe, secure night time work space. Chat with a librarian 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on the library website – it’s a real person, not a robot! When you need in-person assistance from a librarian or to borrow materials, visit the Health Sciences Library during Service Desk Hours.
The Health Sciences Library service desk offers assistance to library users during staffed daytime hours seven days per week. View the hours for all UMKC Libraries facilities and service points, including the Health Sciences Library Service Desk, on the Library hours page.
Building access
Access to the Health Sciences Library requires access to the School of Medicine building with a current UMKC ID. UMKC users who are affiliated with Health Sciences District academic programs (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, or B.A./M.D.) have automatic School of Medicine building access. Any UMKC student, staff, or faculty may request School of Medicine building access for the purposes of using the Health Sciences Library.
