Happy Holidays from the UMKC Libraries

Jukebox

As you wind down this winter break, you might want to tune in to a new holiday film from Hallmark created right here in Kansas City. Our very own Marr Sound Archives plays a small role in A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, serving as the filming location for a past version of the Opry’s archives. Look for the familiar UMKC Library location—all dressed up for Christmas in September!—about 20 minutes into the film.

Watch A Grand Ole Opry Christmas on the Hallmark Channel.

Wishing everyone a wonderful winter break with some cheery downtime watching movies and sipping warm drinks.

Music provided by Marr Sound Archives, Jingle Jill and Jangle Joe by the Willis Brothers, 1964. Looking for a Marr Sound Archives curated country Christmas playlist? Here’s one we’ve created for Spotify!
