Meet our newest staff!

Chayanne Sandoval-Williams

Chayanne joins the Libraries as a night and weekend Library Information Specialist in Circulation! Chayanne comes from a technically-oriented background and education, having received her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She also worked as an Engineering Ambassador for WPI, and a virtual camp counselor for iD Tech camps. We’re excited to have you joining us, Chayanne!

Nick Wilson

Welcome to Nick, the newest Library Information Specialist in Circulation, working with Mobius! Nick’s B.A. in history was awarded by the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and his focus on history specifically involved Black Mountain College, an experimental school. Nick’s research focused on the relationship between the institution and the rural town adjacent to it. Nick has interned for several places including digital archives, museums, arts centers, and has worked heavily in the area of local and genealogical research. Welcome to the UMKC Library, Nick!

Congratulations to Harry Brewster on his new role as an Interlibrary Loan LIS Sr! Harry currently serves as the late night and weekend supervisor for Circulation; in his new role he will be working with the ILL team to process requests, oversee and train student employees in ILL work, and assist patrons and colleagues to ensure effective and efficient ILL service. As current co-chair of Libraries Staff Forum and a search committee member, Harry is heavily involved in service work with the UMKC Libraries. He is also currently pursuing a master’s degree in Library and Information Science with the University of Missouri.

Congratulations are also due to Luke Scheil, the new Senior Library Information Specialist and Student Supervisor for Circulation! Congratulations to Paul Wagner, the new Senior Library Information Specialist and Supervisor in Circulation! Paul helps oversee student workers in addition to coordinating between the Interlibrary Loan and Circulation departments, wrangling the Robot, working to keep the poster printing service up and running, and much more.
