UMKC faculty who would like the Libraries to order materials for courses you are teaching in spring or summer 2022 should place your purchase requests with the library by January 28, 2022.
While the Libraries normally accept purchase requests on a rolling basis, due to changes coming to our library technology systems in the spring we must order books, eBooks, or other materials before migrating to the new system. After the system migration we will resume purchasing as usual in July 2022.
What can you request?
The Libraries purchase eBooks, books, or other material that you will assign as reading in your UMKC courses. Whenever possible the Libraries purchase electronic materials or eBook licenses that allow multiple – or even unlimited – simultaneous users so that the materials can benefit many students, or your entire class.
