Learn more about the music, composers, and performers featured in the UMKC Music/Media Library’s Shining a Light Concert on April 4, 2023 in the iX Theatre at Miller Nichols Library. The concert features 21st century music by composers from historically underrepresented groups performed by students at the UMKC Conservatory.

Peruse books, scores and albums for Chen Yi, Libby Larsen, Viet Cuong, Jeff Scott, Joan Tower and Juliana Hall.

UMKC Music/Media Library displays include books, scores, and media.

The Shining a Light Collection was founded in 2020 with 55 scores. It was grown to include over 800 works by over 170 composers. Explore the collection here.
