Please join us in extending a warm welcome to the newest Circulation team member, Amanda Hendrix! Amanda joins the UMKC Libraries with more than fourteen years of experience at Johnson County Library where she has worked as page, in periodicals and Interlibrary Loan, as a clerk at their Central branch, and finally as an Information Specialist working the front desk. In the former role she handled questions ranging from book recommendations, to finding reference information, to computer assistance, to circulation functions. She has also worked as a bookseller, studied classical voice, cello, and piano, and is fluent in French and knows intermediate Japanese.
Amanda starts her role as a Library Information Specialist in Circulation, working the mid-day shift on Fridays and Saturdays, and closing on Sundays and Mondays. Welcome, Amanda!
