Developed by Special Collections staff member Teresa Gipson, this exhibit showcases several 19th-Century photographs of Navajo and Apache Indians as well as the photographers who captured their images. The enlarged copies on display were made from digitized versions of original photographs from the department's Snyder Collection of Americana.
The exhibit, on display since 2002, is located in the case just outside of Special Collections on the 4th floor of the Miller Nichols Library.
Gratitude and many thanks to Peggy Slagle, Debbie Keeton, Kevin Noble, Moses Ong and Chris Gipson for their unique contributions to this project.
