Published Books & Sound Recordings

The Gay & Lesbian Archive of Mid-America (GLAMA) Collection of books and other published material was established from various GLAMA donations starting in 2009. The GLAMA Collection name continues to serve as a designation for the department's growing library of cataloged material in this subject area, as documented in the UMKC Library Catalog (MERLIN). To date, the collection comprises several hundred titles related to the history and culture of the LGBT community, both locally and nationally. There are also commercial sound recordings cataloged under the GLAMA Collection name and housed in the UMKC Marr Sound Archives.
