STUDENT RESEARCH FILE

The Student Research File of the Presidential Studies Collection at Miller Nichols Library consists of photocopies of 40,000+ pages of historic documents involving fifty-four topics relating to Harry S. Truman and his presidency. The topics in the file pertain to many of the most significant U.S. foreign policy issues of the post-World War II era, and include several important domestic social and economic issues as well. Each topic contains between 500 and 1000 pages of copies of documents from the Truman Library's holdings selected by the Truman archives staff as being the most important documents on that subject. The Truman Library donated the Student Research File to UMKC in January, 2000.
