LaBudde & Marr | GLAMA Collection
Scope and Content of Collection
The Gay & Lesbian Archive of Mid-America (GLAMA) Collection of books, sound recordings and other published material was established from various GLAMA donations starting in 2009. The GLAMA Collection name continues to serve as a designation for the growing library of cataloged material in this subject area, as documented in the UMKC Library Catalog (MERLIN). In addition to published material, GLAMA includes manuscript material (archival collections) made available through department-created finding aids on the official GLAMA website.
Housed in LaBudde Special Collections, the collection of books comprises several hundred titles related to the history and culture of the LGBT community, both locally and nationally.
Housed in Marr Sound Archives, the collection of sound recordings comprises several hundred titles related to the history and culture of the LGBT community, both locally and nationally.
