The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) is a project co-sponsored by the United States Department of Education’s National Library of Education (www.ed.gov/NLE/) and a number of subject-specific "clearinghouses," which identify and index materials relevant to the study of education. Both the Department of Education (www.ed.gov/) and the individual clearinghouses provide access to a variety of valuable information resources through the World Wide Web.
