The UMKC Student Organization, TEDxUMKC, present its 3rd annual TEDxUMKC event at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial. Eight intriging speakers will present on a variety of topics about creativity, innovation, and thinking differently.
Dogma is embedded into the human condition. We are taught what processes worked for our ancestors and we observe those same processes being utilized by others around us. Accordingly, more often than not, we follow suit. Ditching dogma is about creativity, innovation, and thinking differently: not acception the notion that we should do things simply because "that's how they've always been done," rewarding those who take risks while disregarding those who cling to traditionalism.
UMKC students, staff, and faculty, get in free with a UMKC ID. Non-UMKC tickets are $5. Auditorium and Livestream ticketing available. Please register for the event here. Follow TEDxUMKC on Facebook or follow on Twitter using the hashtag #tedxumkc.
