International education is an integral part of University of Missouri-Kansas City. In order to make the UMKC Library a friendly and scholarly hub and home for international students, the University Library is going to host a cultural program International Student Day in the Library. This year, we chose Indian students, the biggest group of the international student body, as our group to celebrate. Present UMKC Faculty, former UMKC Law Student and Alumni will make presentations on Indian heritage and current social issues. Following those presentations, live musical performances will be going on by Indian students. At last, a short movie will be shown to the audience. In addition to those activities, a book display will be set up in the library to showcase Indian and Indian culture. This event is aimed to enhance mutual understanding and cultural appreciation as well as celebrate the diversity of our students through participation. The event is sponsored by UMKC Friends of the Library and UMKC School of Law. Free refreshments will be served.

All UMKC faculty and students are welcome to attend this program.
