Construction Timetable
August 2008: Pre-construction work on Ground Floor.
December 22, 2008: Construction begins; South entrance closed indefinitely
January 2009: Build temporary interior walls; begin demolition
Febraruy 2009: Demolition continues; excavation begins
March-May 2009: Excavation completed; core drilling and pouring for piers; design work on decorative screen panel
June-July 2009: Foundation walls and floor slab poured; mock-up of building exterier and decorative screen construction begins
August-October 2009: Structural steel erection; architectural review and approval of mock-up; interior and exterior walls, roof, and floor slabs poured; backfill foundation; construction and planting of green roof
November-December 2009: Complete storm sewer lines, HVAC, plumbing and electrical; finish interior spaces; masonry work; exterior frames, install decorative screen panels; remove temporary interior walls and re-furbish
December 2009-March 2010: Delivery and installation of robot racks, rails, and masts; installation of computer systems
April-June 2010: Delivery and installation of bins and shelving units; interface of robot system to library system; system testing; staff training

October 2009-March 2010: Design development of Information Commons renovation on 1st floor.
