Possibility:
UMKC’s Miller Nichols Library and Information Commons is a world-class prototypical learning resources facility that advances academic excellence and is an essential resource for students, faculty, staff and community.
Outcomes:
create a student-oriented facility that integrates our learning resources
create a world-class signature facility that bridges the traditional library function with a prototypical fused-use learning environment
create an information commons supportive of student learning, faculty research and scholarship
create a physical space whose intellectual space serves as an essential learning and information resource for both the internal and external community
incorporate a technology-rich environment which permits access to learning resources throughout the world
collaborative learning experiences are encouraged and catalyzed
the project is set up to receive timely state support and meet Curator regulations
