Construction of Miller Nichols Learning Center

The Miller Nichols Learning Center opened for classes on August 19, 2013. In addition to providing 5 large classrooms, the new facility also includes a new South entrance to the library off of 51st  Street, providing easier access for faculty and students.

Miller Nichols Library and Learning Center Expansion and Renovation

At the heart of UMKC’s Volker Campus — both physically and philosophically — is the Miller Nichols Library and Learning Center. The library expansion is a key foundational element for UMKC to realize its educational and enrollment goals.

Current Project: Special Collections and University Archives, 3rd Floor

New, expanded space for the LaBudde Special Collections and University Archives is being built on the 3rd floor. Adding more reader space and a new gallery for exhibits, this will bring library users in contact with primary resource materials.
