Through the Community Information Program, services for a
fee are provided to businesses and other organizations that have identified
specialized information needs. The mix of services is tailored to the particular
requirements of clients and reflects the libraries' commitment to the Kansas
City area.
Community Information Program cards are sold on an annual or term basis. Annual
membership is $225 per year; term membership is $90 per term. Annual membership
begins on the day the fee is received and extends for a full year. Term membership may be purchased from January 1 to April 30, from May 1 to August 31, or from
September 1 to December 31. Term membership is not prorated, and members who
join in the middle of a term retain their membership until the last day
of that term.
Services available via the Community Information Program include circulation
privileges, interlibrary loan, online database searching,
CD-ROM searching,
online access to MERLIN Library Catalog, document delivery, and FAX delivery.
Custom tailored contracts are negotiated on an individual basis.
For more information on additional charges for the above services and other
