The library's collections include more than 160,000 volumes. Books can be found on every floor of the library.

Check the MERLIN Library Catalog to find the location and call number for the book you want.

Once you know the location and call number of a book, you can determine the exact floor and shelf that houses that book. Books are organized on the shelf alphabetically by call numbers. Most books are organized by the Library of Congress Classification system.

In addition, the libraries offer eBook access through netLibrary for UMKC students, faculty, and staff. These eBooks, available online, are fully browseable and searchable.
