Nursing Students
| I would like to welcome all nurses to the section of the Health Sciences Library website that is Just For You. I want your library experience to be productive and fruitful, and to that end I have gathered some of the items I think will be helpful to you on this page. I welcome suggestions and comments, and I hope to meet all of you at least once on your educational path, whether in person or virtually. I am your librarian- Sue Sykes Berry, RN, BSN, MLIS | ![]() |
Handheld Resources
If you have a mobile device, they can be quite useful on the floor, especially for drug information. Through the library you have access to free downloads of either Micromedex or Clinical Pharmacology for the devices. Directions for getting either of these and a listing of other handheld resources that might be useful, can be found on this page.
Finding Journal Articles
To find nursing articles, you need to do a search in CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). To get help on how to do a search in the databases, go to this page.
Distance or Online Students
Although I may not get to meet all of you, I do want you to feel that the library is just as accessible to you as it is to your on campus classmates. To that end we offer distance and online students free delivery of any article they need, even if it is located in the Health Science Library. And while we don't offer book delivery, we do have a wonderful selection of online books for use.
