Guest Researcher Program
Through the Guest Researcher Program, individual researchers not affiliated with UMKC and groups such as law firms, businesses, and other organizations with specialized information and research needs can obtain services and materials through UMKC Libraries for a fee. The mix of services is tailored to the particular requirements of our clients and reflects the Libraries' commitment to the Kansas City area.
Membership in the Guest Researcher Program includes circulation privileges, and provides access to interlibrary loan, database searching, research assistance, and electronic document delivery services. Custom tailored contracts are negotiated on an individual basis.
Membership in the Guest Researcher program includes the following services:
- Borrow books and other materials from UMKC Libraries (including the Miller Nichols, Health Sciences, and Dental Libraries)
- Borrow books and other materials from libraries worldwide through interlibrary loan service
- Electronic delivery of scanned articles from UMKC Libraries print collections or through commercial document suppliers
- Research assistance from librarians with specialties in a variety of subject areas
For more information on the above services, additional fees, checkout privileges and other details about the program, check out our Information for Current and Prospective Guest Researchers page or contact the Guest Researcher Program Coordinator at 816-235-1586.
