Comment: I will be starting graduate school at Webster University in a couple of weeks. I am interested in checking books out from your libraries. Please let me know what I need to do and to have in order to utilize your library resources. Thanks
Response:
We welcome all members of the public to use our databases, print periodicals, print books, etc on-site at our library. As a Webster student you will also be able to check out books directly from the
UMKC Miller Nichols Library. Both
UMKC and Webster University are part of the
MOBIUS Library Consortium along with most academic libraries in Missouri. Once your enrollment is complete and you are in good standing with the Webster library, you will be able to checkout books from
UMKC as a
MOBIUS visiting patron by showing your Webster ID at our Access Services Desk. The total number of books you may have checked out at one time from any/all
MOBIUS Libraries is preset by Webster. Here is a complete list of all the
MOBIUS libraries:

Suggestion: The home page for the Libraries is really badly designed and it is not at all clear for an end user to search any books in the library. It should be redesigned such that it is more user friendly and more easier to browse through the website.
Response: Thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear that you found it difficult to search for books on the Libraries' website. We are continuously looking for ways to improve our design in order to make it easier for our users to find the tools they need. We will use your comment to aid us as we make future improvements. In the meantime, you might try the How Do I?
http://library.umkc.edu/instruction/howdoi/main.htm section for answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. In addition, expert assistance is also available by calling 816.235.1534 during the hours the library is open. If the line is busy or the library is closed, you may wish to leave a message with your contact information and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Hope this information is helpful to you!
Use the UMKC Library Purchase Form to request that one
of the
Libraries add an item to its collection.
If you have questions, please call the library during the hours that reference
assistance is provided.
