Directions:

From 47th Street: Turn south at Rockhill Road (the light between Troost and Oak). Travel to the five-way stop at the second light – the non-working electronic signboard will be directly in front of you. Continue southeast on the immediate left of the signboard (the continuation of Rockhill Road). The parking lot is the second driveway on the right, after the curve.

From 63rd Street: Turn north on Rockhill Road (the light between Troost and Holmes). Travel to the light at 51st and Rockhill Road. The parking lot is the second driveway on the left after the light.

Visitor Parking:  The parking lot is directly to the north of the Miller Nichols Library. This lot provides permit parking for UMKC faculty, staff, and students. Visitors may park and pay at metered spaces for $1 per hour. Metered parking is payable by coin or by using the UMKC ParkCard.

Momentary Parking: If you are dropping by for a very brief visit, there are two “loading zone” spaces in the driveway that runs along the north side of the building. You are welcome to park there up to five minutes.

Handicapped Parking: Several spaces are available in the driveway that runs along the north side of the library building, and there are additional spaces on the southern row of the large parking lot to the north of the library.

Bus Information: Several buses serve the UMKC campus with stops near the Miller Nichols Library: Buses 25, 55, 155, and the Troost Max run right through campus or within one block of campus. Buses 47 and the Main Max have stops within a few blocks’ walking distance. Please visit the KC ATA Web site for routes and schedules.
