The Dental Library is located on the Hospital Hill Campus, on the third floor of the UMKC Dental School Building.
A reference librarian is normally on duty at the Reference Desk from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. If Reference is not staffed, address questions to Circulation staff or email Dental Reference.

A study room is available inside the Instructional Resources Library/Computer Center. This room seats up to 5 people comfortably and includes a computer workstation with access to one of the laser printers. To schedule a reservation, contact the Dental Library.
Located throughout the library are multiple individual study spaces that include tables, chairs, and carrels. Wall outlets throughout the floor. Open study spaces are not reservable.
Call numbers QS-QZ and W-WZ can be found in the Dental Library. Books that are housed in the Robot at Miller Nichols Library can be delivered to the Dental Library.
The Instructional Resources Library/Computer Center (IRL) is located immediately adjacent to the Library. The IRL includes video tapes, slides and patient education materials. For school presentations, contact the Dental Library in advance to reserve necessary materials. Library Instruction Program
A variety of classes are offered on subjects such as searching MEDLINE and finding dental resources. Individual instruction can be arranged by emailing or calling (816) 235-2030, or stopping by the library.
Computer Literature Searching
The Dental Library has available patron access to a wide variety of databases in such fields as psychology, education, business and nursing as well as those offered by the National Library of Medicine. Mediated searches are available to faculty and students of the UMKC School of Dentistry at no cost. Searches for other patrons may be provided for a fee.
