UMKC students, faculty, and staff may access the University Libraries' databases, online journals, and e-books from off campus. Guests may visit one of the UMKC libraries and use our online resources in person.
Two Ways for Remote Access:
- After selecting a database you will be prompted to provide your user name and password (Single Sign On).
(Alternative method: enter your 9-digit UMKC ID number followed by the letter k (example: 0123456789k) and your last name.)
- VPN Client -- UMKC Information Services provides this downloadable software for students, faculty, and staff to access UMKC network resources with a secure connection. When using the VPN client, no further login is required for library database access. For download and instructions see http://www.umkc.edu/is/support/services/rootools/VPN/.
