This online index provides citations and abstracts for articles and other publications related to older adults (age 50 +) and aging. Resources are taken from the AARP's Research Information Center as well as selected articles from over 600 magazines and journals. Books and videorecordings are also included.

Materials cover a broad range of subjects related to older adults and aging. These include:

The Congressional Research Digital Collection includes abstracting, indexing, bibliographic information, and searchable PDFs for Congressional Research Service reports from 1916 to the present and committee prints from 1830 to the present.

The Congressional Research Service (CRS)was established within the Library of Congress to provide objective research and analysis for members of Congress, congressional committees and congressional staff. Each study provides a description of the study, the criteria used, procedures followed and results determined in carrying out the study in addition to the data collected. Studies are available for download in various formats, such as PDF, HTML, Microsoft Word, text, SAS, or SPSS.
    
3. Use SAS or SPSS software to analyze the data and complete your project. On the UMKC campus, SAS and SPSS are available in each of the UMKC Information Services managed computer labs (http://www.umkc.edu/is/labs/). It is also available in the student computer labs within the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Computing and Engineering, and School of Nursing. The Conservatory of Music and Dance's Music Education/Music Therapy Computer Facility also has the software installed.

Latin American Newspapers includes more than 35 nineteenth- and twentieth-century Latin American newspapers, featuring titles from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela and elsewhere. These English, Spanish and Portuguese language newspapers from 1805-1922 have been scanned and include the complete images from all included newspapers, and the images are fully searchable.

Titles available include:

• El Mercurio - An important Spanish-language paper published in Santiago, often considered Chile's newspaper of record.
