Where We're Located

Access to the Dental Library will be changing as the construction of the new Health Sciences Building continues. Temporary street closures and pedestrian access changes will occur. Handicap accessible parking is available, but is some distance away. Please feel free to call the library at 816-235-2030 prior to coming to see us if you have any questions.

The Dental Library is on the 3rd floor of the Dental School. The address is 650 East 25th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. To get to the School of Dentistry if you are traveling:

• South on I-29/71 (or coming from the north)

  Follow I-29 South until it becomes I-35 South. Then follow the directions for traveling South on I-35.

• South on I-35 (or coming from the north)

At I-70 exits follow signs for I-70 West and I-35 South; exit at Oak Street; stay in right hand lane and follow street to the right onto Oak (you will loop around). Continue on Oak south. As you pass 19th Street and cross the bridge, follow the detour past Childrens' Mercy. Turn left (E) on East 25th Street, the Dental School will be on your left. There is metered parking along the streets around the school, and limited handicapped and visitor parking when you continue east on 25th past Charlotte. The lot will be on your left.

• North on I-35 (or coming from the south)

Exit West Pennway Street and turn right (S); keep left and take next turn at light left (E) onto Southwest Blvd. Continue on Southwest Blvd. until it becomes 19th St. (just past Baltimore). Take 19th St. east to Charlotte. Turn right (S) onto Charlotte. Go past Truman Medical Center to East 24th St. Terrace and turn left (E). There is limited visitor and handicapped parking in the lot on your right. The Dental School is on the hill 2 blocks west of the parking lot, and there is metered parking along the streets around the school.

• West on I-70 (or coming from the east-Missouri

Exit I-70 from right lane to downtown 13th Street exit. Turn left on Charlotte then continue south. Go past Truman Medical Center to East 24th St. Terrace and turn left (E). There is limited visitor and handicapped parking in the lot on your right. The Dental School is on the hill 2 blocks west of the parking lot, and there is metered parking along the streets around the school.

• East on I-70 (or coming from the west-Kansas)

Take I-70 east to 11th Street exit. Stay in left lane off the exit ramp; this turns into Charlotte Street. Continue south on Charlotte. Go past Truman Medical Center to East 24th St. Terrace and turn left (E). There is limited visitor and handicapped parking in the lot on your right. The Dental School is on the hill 2 blocks west of the parking lot, and there is metered parking along the streets around the school.

• North on 71 Highway (or coming from the south)

Follow 71 Hwy. until it turns into Bruce Watkins Drive. Continue and exit on E. 22nd Street. Turn left at the end of the ramp at the light and follow the detour back onto Bruce Watkins Drive and take the exit ramp to E. 24th Street. Turn right (W) onto E. 24th St. and take that to Charlotte. Turn left (S) onto Charlotte and go past the Medical School to East 24th St. Terrace and turn left (E). There is limited visitor and handicapped parking in the lot on your right. The Dental School is on the hill 2 blocks west of the parking lot, and there is metered parking along the streets around the school.

• From the University of Missouri-Kansas City main campus

Go north on Troost to East 25th Street; go left (W) on 25th past Campbell. There is limited visitor and handicapped parking in the lot on your right. The Dental School is on the hill 2 blocks west of the parking lot, and there is metered parking along the streets around the school.

Note: Charlotte is one way South; Holmes is one way North.
