Community Information Program

Through the Community Information Program (CIP), services are provided for a fee to businesses and other organizations that have identified specialized information needs. The mix of services is tailored to the particular requirements of clients and reflects the Libraries' commitment to the Kansas City area.

CIP membership is sold on an annual or term basis. Annual membership is $200 per calendar year. Term membership is $80 per term: January 1 to April 30, May 1 to August 31, or September 1 to December 31. Term membership is not prorated, and members who join in the middle of a term retain their membership until the last day of that term.

Membership in the Community Information Program includes circulation privileges, and provides access to interlibrary loan, database searching, research assistance, and electronic document delivery services. Custom tailored contracts are negotiated on an individual basis.
